GINGER LEMONADE(Lemon juice/Ginger soda/Lemon soda)

This is a perfect drink for hot summer days. This juice can be made either sour or sweet  according to individual taste. The addition of each ingredient can be adjusted to your taste. You can also add club soda instead of water  and make lemon soda.
In Kerala, we use to get Nannari/Sarasapilla syrup from Ayurvedic shops. So in our households we usually add this syrup in lemon juice which makes it taste better and healthy.

INGREDIENTS
Lemon/lime-----------------------1
Plain club soda or water-------3 cups or as needed
Ginger-----------------------------2 inch piece
Nannari syrup------------------- 2 tsp (optional)
Ice cubes--------------------------as needed
Sugar to taste

METHOD

  1. In a juicer add lemon/lime sliced,ginger piece,water or soda and sugar.Give it 2  pulse.
  2. Do not grind it or blend it,just give 2 pulse.I doing so the seeds or the skin of lemon will not be ground and it taste better than the juice taken from squeezed lemon/lime.
  3. Now filter the juice through a sieve.Check the taste and adjust the sugar accordingly.
  4. Add nannari syrup to it (if using) and mix it good.
  5. Add few ice cubes to it and enjoy.
