DRUMSTICK MASALA







INGREDIENTS


Drumsticks--------------- approximately 20 finger size pieces.
Tomato-------------------- 2 medium sized, chopped
Shallots/small onions----6, sliced
Red chilly powder------ 1tbsp or to taste
Coriander powder------ 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder------- 1/2 tsp
Oil-------------------------  2 tsp
Mustard seeds---------  1/4 tsp
Dried red chilly--------- 1
Curry leaves------------  a few
Salt as needed


METHOD

  1. Cook drumsticks in a vessel with needed water and salt.
  2. Once the drumsticks are fully cooked, drain off the water and keep it aside.
  3. Next in a  medium heat pan add oil and splutter mustard seeds and then add dried red chilly, curry leaves, and onions. 
  4. Then add the tomatoes .
  5. Once the onions and tomatoes are fully cooked, add turmeric powder, red chilly powder and coriander powder. Saute till the raw smell goes.
  6. Then add the cooked Drumsticks . Add few drops of water if needed . Add needed salt and mix it good.
  7. Once all the masalas are incorporated with the drumsticks, transfer it to a serving bowl. Serve it as a side dish with plain rice and curry.
Note:
  •  If you are using frozen drumsticks, bring it to room temperature before cooking.
  • You can  use onions instead of small onions/shallots.
